Please feel free to email us at info@hopeadventures.com for any additional questions you may have.
No, the animals are just used as tools. You may choose to either sit in the office or enjoy the scenery during sessions. Instead of working with the animals, you can take a walk, sit in the field or listen to the trickle sound of the creek. You also have the option of sitting in the comfortable office.
Sessions average 50 to 60 minutes. Sessions can be weekly or every other week, depending on clients needs and goals.
The cost of therapy services is $100 for a 50-60 minute session. For younger kids, shorter sessions are possible.
Hope Adventures currently accepts Highmark, Capital, Quest and Wellspan EAP insurance. Please be sure to check out our Facebook page for regular insurance updates.
If we do not take your insurance, we accept out of pocket payments. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted.
When working with the animals, you must have on sneakers or boots. No sandals or high heels are allowed due to safety concerns. Please wear comfortable clothes.
Parents do not particpate in the entire session. They may wait in the office area or enjoy the nice weather outside the office. At no point are parents allowed to freely walk the property. If a session is being conducted in the riding ring, parents may observe. Parents may provide Terri with updates at the beginning of sessions and Terri will provide parents an overview of how the session went that day.
Sessions take place year round as long as it is safe for clients to get to the farm. In the event of inclement weather, Terri will make the decision if sessions need to be cancelled for the day. If it is raining, sessions will be conducted either in the office or barn, instead of outside.
If Terri needs to cancel sessions for a day, she will do her best to try to reschedule a session within that same week in order to keep services consistent.
